Uses:
BEFORE FIRST USE:
Nap-Naps: Simply throw your new Nap-Naps into a laundry tub or large bucket. Weigh them down if they float on top. This soaking helps to open up the cotton fibres. Add a tablespoon or two of baking soda to assist this process. Soak overnight, then remove excess water by putting Nap-Naps through a spin cycle in your washing machine. Hang on line and dry completely. Do this once, twice of even three times before use. Just like a new towel, this pre-washing will maximise absorbency.
Night Boosters: Pre-wash 'Night Boosters' in a Laundry Bag so the towelling fluff doesn't cover your new Nap-Naps.
Liners: Sometimesliners have a little excess dye that will wash off the first time. If you are using Liners, pre-wash these separately in a laundry bag, no soaking required).
HOW TO USE NAP-NAPS:
1. Open Nap-Nap, lay flat. Lift Inner Liner, place Night Booster underneath. Fold Inner Liner in half, place Liner on top (if using Night Booster or Liner.)
2. Lay baby on top & lift Inner Liner between legs.
3. Lift Nap-Nap outer between legs & wrap left Side Tab across baby onto centre piece of VelcroŽ.
4. Wrap right Side Tab across baby and secure on top of left Side Tab. Neatly fold down top of Nap-Nap Outer. Place Overpant over Nap-Nap.
STORING AFTER USE BEFORE WASHING:
Storing: Once you have changed baby, simply put your Nap-Nap into a nappy bucket (removing any waste by putting it into the toilet OR rinsing in your laundry tub). It is easiest to 'dry pail' your Nap-Naps. Put them into a nappy bucket without any water or sanitisers. It is an effective way of storing your Nap-Naps until there is enough to wash and it means heavy, water filled buckets aren't a hazard to children. If you are using a Liner or a Night Booster, pop them into separate laundry bags for washing later. (If you don't it just means the towelling will put fluff on your Nap-Naps and Liners which you can be dusted off).
Note:We recommend that you fold the two VelcroŽ side tabs in half and stick together so they don't gather fluff during the wash.
HOW TO WASH:
Nap-Naps: Simply put your Nap-Naps & laundry bags holding your Liners & Night Boosters on a cold/warm wash using your favourite washing powder. There are a number of chemical free washing powders available. Nap-Nap's recommend using ˝ cup of white vinegar (natural antiseptic/antibacterial) and 2-3 drops of tea tree oil (natural antibacterial and antifungal) AND/OR 1-2 tspns of baking soda as an environmentally friendlier alternative to conventional laundry powders.
Overpants: Can be rinsed by hand OR thrown in the machine on a cool wash along with the Nap-Naps (You just have to make sure that the VelcroŽ doesn't stick to the elastic on the Overpants or it will pull. Some people choose to wash them in a laundry bag along with their Liners).
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENERS OR CHLORINE BLEACHES ON NAP-NAP's or OVERPANTS.
HOW TO DRY:
Nap-Naps can be line dried OR put in the dryer. Overpants must be line dried - DO NOT TUMBLE DRY OVERPANTS. DO NOT IRON.
